We asked expats what a typical home or apartment in Volcan is like. They answered...
"A typical expat home in Volcan, is often a single-story, detached house with a spacious garden. The homes are usually built with a blend of modern and traditional Panamanian architecture, featuring high ceilings, large windows, and tiled floors. The living area is often open plan, with a large kitchen, dining area, and living room. The bedrooms are usually spacious, with built-in wardrobes and en-suite bathrooms. Many homes also have a covered outdoor area or patio, perfect for enjoying the tropical climate. Some homes may also have a swimming pool or access to a communal pool. The homes are often located within gated communities, providing an extra level of security. The apartments, on the other hand, are usually modern, with a fully equipped kitchen, a balcony with a view, and access to shared amenities like a gym or a pool. They are often located in the heart of the town, close to shops, restaurants, and other amenities," commented one expat who made the move to Volcan, Panama.
