Dangriga is not as developed as other parts of Belize, so amenities and infrastructure may not be up to Western standards. Expats should also know that while Dangriga is generally safe, like any other place, it has some crime, and it's advisable to take standard precautions. It's important to understand the visa and residency requirements in Belize, which typically involve proving a steady income from pensions or investments.
