Will I need to travel to see a specialist?

Answer this Question

When we asked members in San Salvador if they typically need to travel to see specialists, they replied...

"Yes, there are a good number of medical specialists in San Salvador. People in the city have access to a wide range of medical specialists, including cardiologists, neurologists, oncologists, and orthopedists. For highly specialized medical care, people often travel to larger cities in the country, such as Santa Ana and San Miguel, or to other countries in the region, such as Guatemala and Costa Rica," explained one expat living in San Salvador, El Salvador.
