As a foreigner living in Frenaros, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?

Answer this Question

We asked expats in Frenaros if they have access to public healthcare in Frenaros. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...

"As a foreigner living in Frenaros, you will have access to public healthcare, provided you have registered with the Cyprus public healthcare system and obtained a medical card. The public healthcare system in Cyprus offers a range of services, including primary care, specialist consultations, and hospital care. However, it is worth noting that public healthcare facilities may be limited in rural areas like Frenaros, and you might need to travel to larger cities for certain treatments or specialist consultations. The quality of public healthcare in Cyprus is generally good, but waiting times can be long, and some facilities may not be as modern as those in your home country. Many expats and locals also choose to use private healthcare services, which offer shorter waiting times and more personalized care, but at a higher cost. It is recommended to have comprehensive health insurance to cover any private healthcare expenses," said another expat in Frenaros, Cyprus.
