As a foreigner living in Tel Aviv, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?
We asked expats in Tel Aviv if they have access to public healthcare in Tel Aviv. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...
"As a foreigner living in Tel Aviv, you may have access to public healthcare if you have a valid residency permit and are registered with one of the four Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) in Israel. Public healthcare in Israel is of high quality and offers a wide range of services, including primary care, specialist consultations, hospitalization, and emergency care. However, you may experience longer waiting times for non-urgent treatments and appointments. It is also recommended to have a supplementary private health insurance to cover services not included in the public healthcare system or to access private healthcare facilities," said another expat in Tel Aviv, Israel.
