What do people like (and dislike) about Saipan?
When we asked expats and global nomads what they like and dislike about living in Saipan, they replied...
"Expats and digital nomads living in Saipan, often like the island's beautiful beaches, warm climate, and stunning natural landscapes. They appreciate the laid-back lifestyle, friendly locals, and the opportunity to experience a unique blend of Chamorro, Carolinian, and American cultures. The low cost of living, tax benefits, and relatively low crime rate are also attractive to many expats and digital nomads. On the other hand, some expats and digital nomads may dislike the limited job opportunities, especially for those not involved in the tourism industry. The island's remote location can make it difficult and expensive to travel to and from, and the limited availability of goods and services can be frustrating. Additionally, the slow internet speeds and unreliable infrastructure can be challenging for digital nomads who rely on connectivity for their work. Some may also find the island too small and isolated, leading to feelings of boredom or claustrophobia. Lastly, the occasional typhoons and natural disasters can be a concern for those living in Saipan," said another in Saipan, the United States.
