What are medical services in Hanoi like?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats and global nomads about the quality of medical care in Hanoi, they replied...

"Medical services in Hanoi, are a mix of public and private healthcare facilities. Public hospitals are often crowded and may have long waiting times, while private hospitals and clinics offer better quality care and shorter waiting times. The standard of medical care in Hanoi is generally good, with well-trained doctors and medical staff, many of whom can speak English. However, more complex medical procedures or treatments may require travel to a larger city or even abroad. Pharmacies are widely available throughout the city, and most medications can be purchased over the counter. It is recommended for foreigners to have comprehensive health insurance to cover the costs of private healthcare facilities and potential medical evacuation," remarked another expat who made the move to Hanoi, Vietnam.
