What have your experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system been like?
When we asked expats and global nomads in Merida about their experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system, they replied...
"My experiences with the local healthcare system in Merida during the pandemic have been mostly positive. The healthcare system has been very responsive to the needs of the community, providing free testing and treatment for those affected by the virus. The hospitals have been well-equipped and staffed with knowledgeable and caring professionals. The government has also provided financial assistance to those in need, helping to cover the costs of medical care. Overall, the healthcare system in Merida has been doing an admirable job of providing quality care to those affected by the pandemic," wrote a member who made the move to Merida, Mexico.

"Mexico has overall been very good about lockdown and mask wearing, not gathering in groups for parties, etc. It has been much better than the US for the most part. It has curfews, etc," explained one expat living in Merida, Mexico.
