"Foreigners are allowed to own property in Sharjah, but with certain restrictions. In 2014, the government of Sharjah introduced a law that permits non-UAE nationals to own property in specific areas designated for foreign ownership. These areas are usually freehold zones or investment areas, where foreigners can buy property on a leasehold basis for a period of up to 100 years. However, foreign ownership is limited to residential properties, and non-GCC nationals are not allowed to own land in Sharjah.
