"In order to visit Curitiba, visitors must obtain a visa from the Brazilian Embassy or Consulate in their home country. The visa application process requires applicants to submit a valid passport, a completed visa application form, a passport-sized photograph, and proof of sufficient funds to cover the duration of the stay. Depending on the type of visa, additional documents may be required. In order to obtain residency in Curitiba, Brazil, applicants must first obtain a temporary visa from the Brazilian Embassy or Consulate in their home country. After arriving in Brazil, applicants must register with the Federal Police and obtain a temporary residence permit. This permit must be renewed every two years. After four years of temporary residence, applicants may apply for permanent residency. The application process requires applicants to submit a valid passport, a completed application form, a passport-sized photograph, proof of sufficient funds to cover the duration of the stay, and proof of employment or other sources of income," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Curitiba, Brazil.
