The process of applying for a long-term visa involves submitting an application form, providing proof of identity, and paying the applicable visa fee. Additionally, applicants must provide proof of financial stability, a valid passport, and a valid work permit. Once the visa is approved, the applicant must register with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) within 14 days of arrival in India. The FRRO will issue a registration certificate, which must be renewed every year," remarked another expat who made the move to Bangalore, India.
