What advice do you have for expats having a baby in New Zealand?
We asked expat moms who gave birth in New Zealand about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...
"It is important to research the healthcare system in New Zealand before having a baby. Make sure to familiarise yourself with the maternity services available and the costs associated with them. It is also important to find a doctor or midwife that you feel comfortable with and who can provide you with the best care. Additionally, it is important to look into the different types of childcare available in New Zealand and to make sure that you have a plan in place for when you return to work. Finally, make sure to take advantage of the many support networks available to expat parents in New Zealand," wrote a member who made the move to New Zealand.
