We asked expat moms who gave birth in Romania about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...

"1. Make sure to research the healthcare system in Romania and find a doctor or midwife that you trust and feel comfortable with. 2. Familiarize yourself with the maternity and childcare services available in Romania, such as the public health system, private clinics, and home birth options. 3. Consider taking a childbirth preparation class to help you prepare for the birth of your baby. 4. Make sure to register your baby with the local authorities and obtain a birth certificate. 5. Consider joining a local expat group or online forum to connect with other expats who have had babies in Romania and can provide advice and support. 6. Take the time to explore Romania and get to know the culture and customs, as this will help you to feel more at home," explained one expat living in Romania.
