What are the most challenging aspects of retiring in Kyrgyzstan?
We asked retirees what they find the most challenging about retiring in Kyrgyzstan. They wrote...
"One of the most challenging aspects of retiring in Kyrgyzstan is the lack of a comprehensive pension system. Many retirees rely on their families for financial support, and the cost of living in Kyrgyzstan is relatively high. Additionally, the country's infrastructure is not well-developed, making it difficult to access healthcare and other services. Furthermore, the language barrier can be a challenge for retirees who do not speak Kyrgyz or Russian. Finally, the political and economic instability in the country can make it difficult to plan for the future," wrote a member who made the move to Kyrgyzstan.
