"In general, things tend to be more expensive in the United States than in England. The cost of living in England tends to be lower due to cheaper housing, utilities and transportation costs. Food, clothing and entertainment are also generally less expensive in England. Therefore, if one has the opportunity to make the same salary in both countries, it is likely that they would save more money by living in England than in the United States," commented one expat who made the move to UK.
