We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Crime is a major problem in Mexico. Drug-related violence and organized crime are especially prevalent, and citizens in many parts of the country face increased threats of kidnapping and extortion. Mexico has some of the highest rates of homicide in the world, with high levels of gang and cartel activity driving much of the crime. Robbery and carjacking are also common in Mexico," remarked another expat in Mexico.

"Yes, crime is a problem in Mexico. Drug trafficking, organized crime, and violent crime are all endemic to the country. Gang violence and homicides are endemic in urban areas and getting even worse in recent years. This is compounded by the Mexican government's inability to effectively address the underlying causes of crime, such as poverty and inequality," said a member in Mexico.
