"New Zealand generally has a low crime rate compared to other countries. However, there are still some areas where crime is more prevalent. In recent years, there has been an increase in certain types of crime, such as burglary and drug-related offences. The government is taking steps to address these issues, including increasing police presence in affected areas and introducing tougher sentencing for certain offences," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to New Zealand.
