Is there a lot of diversity? Are people in Ghana accepting of differences?
When we asked people about diversity in Ghana and whether locals are accepting of differences, they said...
"Ghana is known for its cultural diversity. Its population is composed of a range of ethnic groups and religious affiliations. People from different backgrounds typically live in relative harmony and get along surprisingly well. Ghanaians tend to be very accepting of cultural differences, and intermarriages between diverse groups are common. Due to a strong sense of mutual respect, people of different backgrounds are often seen socializing with one another politically, socially and economically," commented one expat who made the move to Ghana.

"Yes - within the local community there are Christian (Apostles) and Islam and Expats are from around the world. There are also many Africans from other nations. Tolerance is generally very high however, there is a tendency to take advantage of Expats within Accra and they are not as welcoming and friendly as Ghanians from the country," remarked another expat in Accra, Ghana.
