What should I pack when moving to Turkey?
We asked people living in Turkey to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...
"When moving to Turkey, it is important to pack items that will help you adjust to the climate and culture. Pack clothing that is appropriate for the season, such as light, breathable fabrics for the summer and warmer layers for the winter. Bring comfortable shoes for walking and exploring the city. Make sure to bring any necessary medications and toiletries. It is also important to bring items that will help you feel at home, such as photos, books, and other personal items. Don't forget to bring an adapter for your electronics, as the electrical outlets in Turkey are different than those in other countries," remarked another expat who made the move to Turkey.
"Brought: 1) english food ingredients 2) sky satellite system 3) more books and reading material Left: 1) microwave 2) large furniture 3) cars," explained one expat living in Istanbul, Turkey.
