What is a typical expat home or apartment like in Guatemala?
We asked expats what a typical home or apartment in Guatemala is like. They answered...
"Expat homes and apartments in Guatemala can vary from modern, luxurious condominiums to traditional colonial houses. Many apartments come unfurnished while some feature the basics. Apartments generally have one or two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and bathroom. Most housing will have basic amenities, such as hot water and air conditioning. Expats living in Guatemala will often have access to additional amenities, such as swimming pools, fitness centers and on-site security guards. Expats should research the area and surrounding amenities before selecting a home as some neighborhoods are more secure and desirable than others," said a member in Guatemala.
