When we asked people what advice they would give someone preparing to move to Cyprus, they said...

"Before moving to Cyprus, expats should familiarize themselves with the local language, as Greek is the official language of the country. It is also important to research the cost of living in Cyprus, as prices can vary significantly depending on the area. Expats should also be aware of the climate in Cyprus, as it is generally hot and dry in the summer and mild in the winter. Additionally, expats should research the local culture and customs, as well as the visa and residency requirements for living in Cyprus. Finally, expats should make sure to have adequate health insurance coverage before moving to Cyprus," remarked another expat in Cyprus.

"Consider renting if you are not concerned about having equity. I actually looked at renting when I first planned my move and decided that buying was better. Now almost 3 years later, renting would have been a better option for me, based on current rental costs," said a member in Frenaros, Cyprus.
