Where should I setup a bank account in Morocco?
We asked expats in Morocco what banks they use and there advice about banking. They advised...
"The most common place to set up a bank account in Morocco is with one of the nation's major commercial banks. Major Moroccan banks include Attijariwafa Bank, Banque Populaire, BMCE Bank, and Banque Marocaine du Commerce Exterieur, among other banks. To open an account, you will likely need to provide a valid personal ID, such as a passport or national ID card, and other supporting documentation, like proof of residence. You may also be required to make a minimum opening deposit in order for your account to be activated," remarked another expat who made the move to Morocco.
