How are healthcare services in Cameroon?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats and global nomads about the quality of medical care in Cameroon, they replied...

"Cameroon offers a variety of healthcare services, including primary care, hospital care, and specialized care. The public healthcare system in Cameroon is largely funded by the government and is available to all citizens. However, the quality of public healthcare is generally considered to be inadequate, with limited access to medical supplies and equipment, and a shortage of qualified medical personnel. Foreign residents may have access to the public healthcare system, but it is not always guaranteed. Expats in Cameroon may use the public healthcare system, but they may also opt to use private healthcare services, which are often of a higher quality," said another expat in Cameroon.
