As a foreigner living in Turkmenistan, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?

Answer this Question

We asked expats in Turkmenistan if they have access to public healthcare in Turkmenistan. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...

"Yes, foreigners living in Turkmenistan have access to public healthcare. The quality of care varies depending on the region, but generally the public healthcare system is well-equipped and staffed with experienced professionals. The government provides free healthcare to all citizens, including foreigners, and there are a number of hospitals and clinics throughout the country. The public healthcare system is supplemented by a number of private clinics and hospitals, which offer more specialized care," remarked another expat in Turkmenistan.
