What have your experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system been like?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats and global nomads in Fiji about their experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system, they replied...

"The pandemic has had a significant impact on the healthcare system in Fiji. The government has implemented a number of measures to ensure the safety of the public, including the closure of the country's borders, the suspension of non-essential services, and the introduction of a nationwide curfew. Healthcare workers have been working tirelessly to provide essential services to those in need, while also taking extra precautions to protect themselves and their patients. The government has also provided additional resources to the healthcare system, such as additional medical supplies and personnel, to help cope with the increased demand. Despite these efforts, the healthcare system in Fiji has been stretched to its limits, with long wait times for appointments and limited access to medical care," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Fiji.
