"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Bulgaria. Non-EU citizens must obtain a permit from the Bulgarian Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works in order to purchase property in Bulgaria. EU citizens are allowed to purchase property without a permit. However, they must register their ownership with the local municipality. In addition, foreign citizens are subject to the same taxes and fees as Bulgarian citizens when purchasing property in Bulgaria," wrote a member who made the move to Bulgaria.
