Are foreigners allowed to own property in Ivory Coast?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Ivory Coast if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...

"Foreigners are allowed to own property in Ivory Coast, but there are certain restrictions in place. Foreigners are not allowed to own land, but they can own buildings and other structures. Foreigners must obtain a permit from the Ministry of Interior in order to purchase property in Ivory Coast. The permit must be renewed every five years. Additionally, foreigners must have a valid residence permit in order to purchase property in Ivory Coast," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Ivory Coast.
