"Residents of Martinique enjoy a variety of recreational facilities, including beaches, parks, and nature reserves. There are also a number of water sports available, such as snorkeling, scuba diving, and sailing. For those looking for a more relaxed experience, there are plenty of opportunities for fishing, bird watching, and hiking. For those looking for a more active experience, there are plenty of opportunities for mountain biking, rock climbing, and horseback riding. There are also a number of cultural activities available, such as visiting museums, galleries, and historic sites," remarked another expat who made the move to Martinique.
"People generally go to the beach. There's a zoo, hiking activities, movie theater, large garden and a few other tourist attractions you can participate in. But not really too much to do," explained one expat living in Schoelcher, Martinique.
