Bored with the daily grind of our life in the UK, my Australian girlfriend and I made the decision to head overseas in the summer of 2003 with our two dogs and the entire contents of our house. Looking to find a different way of living for ourselves, we made our home in Vancouver, Ottawa, then Sydney.
