Emily Goes to France captures my experience living as an expatriate in France, including the linguistic and cultural hurdles, as well as the joy and wonder that come from living abroad. I also ponder the challenges of growing into adulthood - from personal relationships and the difficulty of being an introvert in a boisterous world, to figuring out my career passion and defining the concept of home – in a foreign context. This isn't so much a blog about how to move abroad, but rather a reflection on what it means to be so far away from what is known and comfortable - physically and metaphorically.
