France, Food, Scooters and More

I'm an American who retired to the south of France and I write about living in France, about French restaurants and French food, about politics, and whatever strikes my fancy.

Web Site:

As far back as 1998, my wife and I began to decide what we would do during our active retirement years. We wanted to travel in Europe. Why not live there? After some investigation, we settled on the Languedoc region of southwest France. My blog discusses the entire process - making the decision, visits, buying real estate, choosing an international moving company, the whole nine yards. And now that we've moved, I review local restaurants, describe local celebrations and review local concerts, and discuss such practical matters as healthcare and auto mechanics. But that's not all. I enjoy politics, American and European. I have opinions and my opinions are free for the asking and worth every penny.
