Singapore expat returning home to Sydney

I am intersted to hear from people who have returned to Australia after being an expat in another country. I have recently returned to Sydney after 6 years of being away for my husbands job....3 yeas in US and 3 in Singapore. It has been a real reverse culture shock returning home. Would be interested to hear from people with similar experience. We ae selling our house, renting then buying a house, starting kids in school and I have yet to find a job....scary since I have not worked or 6 years. I do not know when I will feel settled. :(
