I'm a former US Nationally Certified Massage Therapist (I went Inactive Status due to reasons below) with professional training and over a decade of experience in both spa & clinical settings who lives and works as a Wellness Masseur in Germany with his own mobile practice. Since I've been living in here for almost 3 years now, there's not a need for me to keep my licenses active in the US as Germany has different requirements.
Before I met my future German wife and moved here to start a new life with her, my dream was to spend a Summer in Australia and experience what it was like to live & work there doing massage. Well, Germany's aversion to using air conditioning during the Summer has presented me with a unique opportunity to do just that since nobody here wants a massage when it's too hot AND Australia is having their Winter season at this time.
Do any of you know of any friends, family, or colleagues that can point me in the right direction to help make this dream happen? I'd need to know things like what the regulations are for letting a foreign massage therapist do seasonal work in Australia as well as where I should look for the best job opportunities as well as seasonal living accommodations in the Sydney or Brisbane areas.
Any little useful tidbit will help so thank you all in advance. :)
