Ive been here for some time and rented plenty of motorcycles here. Im used to riding bigger bikes back in the states (1000cc, 1200cc etc) so the bikes here are a bit slow. Getting around the city is pretty easy with a moto. I prefer a bigger bike as I am a muscular "heavy" guy so a 200 or 220 is nothing. Although they do have bigger bikes here they are crazy expensive. Does anyone know if they allow imported motorcycles in Colombia?
I also considered financing a bike as I was looking into a 400 or 600. I do have my Cedula, phone in my name and bank account here. Also, my girlfriend has good credit here and she offered to help me if I can't get financing myself.
Any suggestions would be great. I will eventually buy a car but right now a moto is a better option. Thanks!
