I am a recent retired Canadian pensioner and plan on moving by February 2009 to Bahia de Caraquez from Vancouver Canada and would appreciate any/all information/advice on this community regarding accommodation on or short walk to beach along with costs of same, food, utilities, telephone, internet access etc.
My current plan is to get there, rent in a good clean safe Hostel for a month, find an apartment and settle in, then hopefully contribute to the community.
What I really need is approximate monthly fixed costs so I can arrange to have enough income deposited to my account and complete all those arrangements before I leave Canada.
The other question is whether I should arrange a resident visa from this end or when I get there.
All information will be appreciated.
