furnished vs unfurnished in paris

Helllo,
I am relocating to Paris in a few months, for a 2-3 year assignment, and am weighing the pros and cons of renting a furnished vs unfurnished flat.
I was leaning towards furnished but my expat package might not cover home country storage. A big reason I wanted furnished was to avoid having to equip a kitchen, which I heard normally come w/o appliances, or even cabinets.
My question is, are there unfurnished flats that do have equipped kitchens? How common is this?? About how expensive is it to equip a kitchen (don't care about dishwasher but want clothes washer/dryer!)
I will be speaking with the home-finding person at the relocation company, but so far i'm not so impressed with them.
