where do i relocate to?

Hi all!
I have been thinking about moving to Canada for some time, but have no idea where to go. I have a partner and a young daughter. I don't plan to relocate for a couple of years, but I want to gather as much information as possible. I want somewhere that is suitable for a young family, that will have plenty of jobs in the field of psychology - working in prisons and such, that has warm summers and not so bad winters. I was looking at jobs in Ontario, and found one for a psychologist, the pay was $1170-$1456 weekly. This is at least doulble the average here in the U.K., but what are the prices like in Canada- food, clothes, electronics e.t.c. I would be extremely grateful for any help
