requesting an extension of a 90-day tourist visa?

I was wondering if anyone could help me with a question about extending my tourist visa?

I'm in Chile on a 90-day tourist visa and would like to stay here for more than 90 days.

I submitted a request to the Chilean government to extend my tourist visa but have not received a response.

Does anyone have any suggestions for who I can contact for help with this process for requesting an extension to my tourist visa?
