Hi everyone. I wanted to add a couple of wires in the kitchen, so I could run the air fryer and the hot water kettle at the same time. The workman tried to talk me out of the work. He asked me, "Do you really need it?" like he was trying to do me a favor. (I wanted to quip back, "Well, I suppose I could do everything on a campfire...")
I am sure he is trying to be friendly and helpful, but can anyone please help me to understand what is the positive mindset, that they would try to talk a willing paying customer out of work, when all he wants is an easier kitchen to work in?
I had a similar thing when they could not get the oven to work. The workman was like, "You have an air fryer. You don't need it." I had to explain that the two appliances cook differently, and it is easier to make pizza taste good in an oven than in an air fryer, but it was like it bounced off.
Can anyone help me understand what they have against paying customers wanting to pay them to put in conveniences?? (Am I messing up the scene, or something?)
Thanks.
