Hi everyone, I applied for my residency in January of ‘23 and unfortunately I was one of the clients that bankrupt Oulier Legal dropped the ball on and did not complete the investment visa application and neglected to submit my birth certificate, but all deposits and fees were paid. I subsequently purchased a residence here in CR in July of ‘23 and within 6 months submitted my proof of investment along with the missing birth certificate and have waited and waited with no resolution.
Two weeks ago I went to immigration and they had no information other than my application was pending approval. So on the advice of another expat friend I filed a complain with the office of Los Habitantes which is a government watchdog group that handles complaints against other government agencies. So I am waiting from a response that should come in two weeks.
So my question is how long have others been waiting for residency approval once all paperwork has been submitted? Another friend told me it took only 8 months but that was for a retirement visa. Any thoughts, help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
