sending parcels or bring stuff over

please help with some advice we would like to bring over some household items ie small tv plates pots this kind of stuff , when i was over in august i found some of the shops a littel expensive even in papatonies great shop but not asda or ikea ,is it best to ship them over or bring over in a suitcase
any advise would help thanks
