visa options for post doc' partner

My boyfriend is strongly considering a post doc in Copenhagen. We're both Canadian and would like to live in Denmark for the 1-2 years of the program, but his acceptance hinges on my ability to travel with him. I was hoping someone could help answer a few questions we had, or at least point us in the right direction.

As his common-law partner of 3 years, and a MSc graduate of physics, what would be my visa options?

Are postive listed work visas hard to come by?

Could I work as a lab tech (less specialized than the positive list) on a "foreign researcher's partner" visa?

Could I work in a compleatly unrelated field on that same visa?
