Considering Denmark with Maersk

Hello :)

I currently live and work in California, US, for Maersk Line (a Danish shipping line). The company is downsizing and I am in need of a new position. An opportunity has surfaced at the HQ in Copenhagen... not as a company-sponsored expat, but as a move that I would be entirely responsible for. (I would pay local taxes, move myself, etc).

I am 25 and almost done with my degree, another 2 semesters to go... it has always been my goal to go abroad and now a real chance is here, but it would mean interrupting school. Can anyone here provide some insight on lfie in Denmark? Is it very expensive to live? Will income taxes cripple me? I have very little furniture etc so moving would be fairly simple I believe.

Any experience with taking classes at a unviersity abroad to transfer back home for a US degree? Thoughts? :)

What about VISA erquirements etc... I will need to handle all of that on my own.

Any other comments or thoughts would be appreciated as well.
