US Roth accounts for retirement in Denmark

Anyone know how Denmark treats capital gains on money in US Roth retirement accounts? How do they treat distributions?

Given Danish taxes, it would be a tremendous advantage to me if Denmark recognizes US Roths as entirely free of tax. I'm aware that, as far as I know, I won't be able to contribute to Roth accounts while in Denmark without US source income.

The information I have is very discouraging. Denmark does not recognize Roth IRA as a true retirement account, so the account earnings are taxable. This would seem to violate the US-Danish tax treaty, but there are not enough people complaining to make a difference.

Expect to live in an apartment and not a home unless you have a very large budget for housing expenses. CIS and Rygaards are the only international schools I would recommend in any way. When setting a budget, double or triple it. And, lastly, rent through a rent manager and NOT directly with a home owner.
