Renting a property in Denmark

Hi,

I am about to buy a place in CPH and I do not know whether I will stay for more than 3, 5 years. Thus, I am thinking about renting it out in case I leave the country. I heard that there are some obstacles to rent out your apartment if you are out of denmark. I cannot refer to any specific obstacles and difficulties, so my question is if there is anyone with such experience that you can share?

Thanks a lot,
Jakub

Hi Jacob--if you rent it out, please let me know for how long and the price, as I have a daughter looking for a place. She lives there long-term, but her lease is expiring and finding a place is really, really difficult. Thank you. Pam.

Expect to live in an apartment and not a home unless you have a very large budget for housing expenses. CIS and Rygaards are the only international schools I would recommend in any way. When setting a budget, double or triple it. And, lastly, rent through a rent manager and NOT directly with a home owner.
