Moving with 3.5 year old

Hi All,
I am looking for some advise. We are moving to Copenhagen from Australia at the end of May for my husbands job with our 3.5 year old and 9 month old daughter. Schooling is not included in his package and we are wondering if any of you have experience with your children attending local nurseries. Can you give me any input about your experience, can you recommend a nursery and or an area to live.
thanks in advance

I believe most of these nursery services are free or heavily subsidized in Denmark. For certain, schooling from kindergarten on is free. Like anyplace, housing is cheaper the further out from the city you get.

Good towns for families that I know personally and can recommend are
Hillerød, Allerød, Birkerød, Holte, Lyngby, Hørsholm, Farum, Gentofte

Amager is the new place for city families

Frederik$berg is really expensive.

Herlev and Rødovre are more average communities with a little more working class population. They are not on my regular commuting route.

Moving-To-CopenhagenAn Expat Talks about Moving to Copenhagen, Denmark

Expect to live in an apartment and not a home unless you have a very large budget for housing expenses. CIS and Rygaards are the only international schools I would recommend in any way. When setting a budget, double or triple it. And, lastly, rent through a rent manager and NOT directly with a home owner.
