I amwondering if I could hear from any American / Western Expats in Egypt and get some advise. I am considering throwing my name in the hat for an expat job with my company in Maadi. The job would be working with the Egyptian Air Force. I am married with 3 children (4,11,13) the job would cover my housing but I dont have the details yet. I guess my main question is in reference to safety. I know Egypt has had a tough time the last couple years but I would like to know a currrent status. Is it same for an American family. I recently spent 2 months in Jordan (without my family) and found Amman to be a fairly safe place. I wonder how Maadi / Cairo compares. Please let me know your thoughts
