Long term rentals

Hi. Have heard about issues for finding long term rentals because the landlords want to make more money in the tourist season so the rentals for long term are in fact for the winter months only. I am presuming that if you rent away from the larger cities there isn't a problem with renting all year. Just hoping people living in Croatia can confirm this for me. Many thanks in anticipation.
