Considering a Move

I work for the federal government and have been offered a job in Stuttgart. My husband and I are seriously considering the move, but I wanted to get the perspective of someone living over there what they thought. I will be coming over there through DoD (the military), so if there's any tips anyone has, I'd be happy to hear. Some of my main concerns are:

--where to live?
--getting a car/transportation?
--the actual PCS process?

It's a big decision and unfortunately we have to make a decision soon! Any info anyone can provide would be helpful.
