Moving to India from US - Need international cargo shipping company recommdation

Hi,
We are planning to move to India from Dallas in 3-4 mos. We have no clue as to which company to use. We did some research online but is quite confusing. Anyone has any positive or negative experience with any international moving company? Please advice.
We have been downsizing for the last 6 mos: sold our house from 3 bedrooms down to a 1 bedroom apartment. We are not really taking any furniture with us. We don't really know if we should even have a cargo or just send our belongings in boxes via postal services??
